Shadowrocket Official Manual

Shadowrocket App Store Download

A paid client for Apple platforms, purchased with a one-time payment and available only on the App Store. Verify the storefront and app details before buying.

Developer Shadow Launch Technology Limited App ID 932747118 $2.99 one-time purchase on the US storefront For iPhone and iPad

Check the App Store listing for the price, system requirements and Universal Purchase availability.

App Store storefront and account region

Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China storefront. If it doesn’t appear in search, check the country or region of the Apple Account used for App Store purchases instead of repeatedly changing your search terms. The App Store uses that account’s region to show apps, prices and payment options. Device language, physical location and storefront region are separate settings. Changing the device language won’t switch the account to another storefront.

Check the account under Media & Purchases

On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap the Apple Account section at the top, then tap Media & Purchases and choose View Account. Complete any authentication requested by the system, then check Country/Region. Labels may vary slightly between system versions, so follow what your device displays. Make sure you’re checking the account used for purchases; the name shown at the top of Settings isn’t enough to confirm it.

  1. Note the Apple Account currently used for Media & Purchases and confirm it’s the account you plan to use for payment or used to buy the app previously.
  2. Open Country/Region to check the current storefront. To change it, continue using the Change Country or Region option on that page.
  3. Review the account requirements listed by the system, such as account balance, existing subscriptions, Family Sharing and payment methods, and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Return to the App Store and check the actual product page. The storefront shown in a link is only an entry point; it doesn’t mean the account’s region has changed.

Whether you can change your country or region depends on Apple’s account requirements and review. Opening the relevant Settings page or a product link for another storefront doesn’t mean the change has taken effect. This page explains the standard settings path but can’t make account changes or guarantee that your account can switch to a particular region. Account holders should verify their own payment details and account information.

If the product page says it isn’t available in your current storefront, compare that message with your account region. If the account region meets the requirements, check whether the App Store is still using an old account state or has terms waiting for confirmation. For more about storefront regions and availability, see the App Store Guide section on storefront regions.

How to verify Shadowrocket

Check the product listing first, then compare the interface with the official screenshots.

Official Shadowrocket icon: a blue-and-purple outlined rocket on a white background

Official App Store app icon

Check the developer, icon and app ID together

The app name and its position in search results aren’t enough to verify its identity. Open the product page and check that the developer or seller is Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Verify the full name, not just one word, and don’t mistake a promoted search result title for developer information.

The second check is the official icon: a blue-and-purple outlined rocket on a white background, matching the official icon shown on this page. Use the icon as one clue, alongside the developer and app ID. If the name is similar but the developer differs, or the icon merely uses similar colors, return to the product link on this page and verify again. Don’t rely on an informal nickname to decide whether to buy.

The third check is app ID 932747118. The official product link ends with id932747118. Check the full number. The app name’s spelling, storefront path or search result format may vary, but the app ID must match. Once all three details match, review the price and purchase confirmation.

What the official screenshots show

The two images beside this text are official screenshots uploaded by the developer to the App Store. Home shows the connection entry point and server groups; Add Server shows the manual entry and import options. They illustrate the interface, not a guarantee of current connection status. Any details visible in the screenshots are for demonstration and should not be copied as your own connection settings.

The interface may vary with the system, language settings and app updates. A different layout doesn’t by itself indicate that the app is inauthentic; check the three verification details against the App Store purchase record. Likewise, a similar-looking interface cannot replace App Store identity verification.

The switch on Home and the fields in Add Server are entry points. To connect, import a subscription or server details you already have.

Buying and opening Shadowrocket on iPhone

On your iPhone, open the verified Shadowrocket product page in the App Store and check the price, compatibility and account status. Refer to the App Store listing for system requirements; don’t rely on older requirements quoted elsewhere. Before confirming payment, check the app name, amount and Apple Account in the purchase confirmation, then authenticate as required by the system.

From purchase confirmation to Home

After payment, wait for the App Store to finish installing Shadowrocket, then open it from the Home Screen or App Library. If the store still shows processing, check the purchase status and network before trying to pay again. Installing the app and establishing a connection are separate steps: installation means the client is ready, not that server details are available.

The connection switch may show Not Connected the first time you open Home. Make sure you have your own subscription or server details, then import them in the appropriate format. To enter details manually, use Add Server and fill in Type, Host, Port and the relevant authentication fields based on your actual information. Fields vary by Type; don’t add arbitrary values just to complete the form.

What the “Add VPN Configurations” prompt means

When you first try to connect, the system may ask to let Shadowrocket add VPN configurations. This authorizes the system to register a network connection configuration and is separate from App Store payment. Confirm that the prompt names the Shadowrocket you just installed, then choose whether to allow it and authenticate as required by your device. Allowing this prompt won’t fill in server details automatically.

If you previously denied the request, return to the app and try connecting again to see whether the system prompts you. If the configuration was removed, start a new connection through the app rather than editing system settings manually when you’re unsure which fields to use. The VPN section in Settings can help confirm whether a connection configuration exists; its location depends on the system version.

After importing your details, check Global Routing. Config follows the configuration’s rules, Proxy uses the proxy policy, and Direct uses the direct connection policy. An enabled switch, a VPN indicator in the system and successful access are not necessarily the same result. For connection checks and troubleshooting steps, see the quick start tutorial.

Installing on iPad and other Apple devices

You can use the purchase history for the same Apple Account to get Shadowrocket on iPhone and iPad. If you bought it on iPhone, first confirm that the original purchase account is selected under Media & Purchases on your iPad. Then find the app in the App Store account’s purchased items. Don’t pay again just because you’re using a different device; check the purchase history and the app’s status in the store first.

Purchase history and app data are separate

A purchase in the same account establishes eligibility to get the app; it doesn’t mean connection details are already synced between devices. After installing on iPad, import your own subscription, server details and configuration files as needed. If you have a backup or sync setup, check what it contains before restoring to avoid overwriting your new settings with an older configuration.

The wider iPad screen affects list widths, control areas and page layouts, but names such as Home, Add Server, Config and Settings still match the tutorial. Some options may be in different navigation locations; look for the feature name instead of relying on a button’s position in a screenshot. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and Universal Purchase availability.

If the iPad still shows a purchase price, first confirm that the account matches, then check that the original purchase completed successfully. When family members use separate accounts, being in the same family doesn’t mean they share the same purchase record. Check the App Store listing and Family Sharing purchase settings to see whether family sharing applies.

Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing includes Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision. On each device, use the App Store to find and get Shadowrocket. Check the App Store listing for support on a specific device, system requirements and Universal Purchase availability. This page doesn’t assume that iPhone instructions apply directly to these devices.

Before using Shadowrocket on another device, expand the compatibility section and check the app’s availability in that device’s store. Even if your purchase qualifies, importing details, interacting with the app and granting system permissions may work differently. Check one device at a time to help distinguish purchase issues from configuration issues.

New devices, reinstalling and restoring purchases

To restore Shadowrocket on a new device, first find the original purchase record, then handle the app’s data separately. The purchase is tied to the Apple Account used to complete the transaction, not to the old device or a server account. With the original purchase account and a compatible storefront, you can usually download the app again from purchased items without paying again.

Find the app in the App Store

  1. On the new device, check the Apple Account under Media & Purchases and make sure it matches the original purchase account.
  2. Open the App Store, tap the account picture and go to Purchased. Some system versions show an Apps entry first, which leads to your personal purchase list.
  3. Search for Shadowrocket, open its product page, verify the developer and app ID, then tap the redownload icon.
  4. After installation, check whether the app’s data has been restored, then add your own subscription, server details and configuration files as needed.

If Shadowrocket isn’t in the purchased list, check the account, purchase history and hidden purchases in that order. Having used the app on a device before doesn’t prove that the current account made the purchase. If you find the order but can’t restore it, keep the error message shown by the store and use the system’s purchase history and support options. Avoid repeated payment attempts.

Restoring the app doesn’t restore its configuration

After downloading the client again, whether subscription URLs, server credentials, Config contents and personal settings return depends on your previous backup and sync settings.

Before removing data from the old device, make sure the new device has the information you need. Subscription URLs and authentication details are private; don’t share them when troubleshooting a purchase issue.

Check Family Sharing eligibility

Family Sharing availability is subject to the App Store listing, Family Sharing purchase settings and account requirements. Don’t confuse redownloading with the same Apple Account with getting the app through a family member’s account.

If you’re using a family purchase list, verify which family member made the purchase and confirm the product details before following the store’s instructions.

After restoring the app, you can refresh a subscription you already have, then check the selected server, Global Routing and Config. A connection that worked on the old device doesn’t guarantee that every setting imported to the new one is correct. If something goes wrong, troubleshoot the App Store purchase separately from the connection.

Shadowrocket price and one-time purchase

Shadowrocket is purchased with a one-time payment; there’s no monthly fee to purchase the client. The US storefront price reference is $2.99; other storefronts show prices in local currency. Check the App Store product and payment confirmation pages for the current price, taxes and final amount. A different price in another region or at another time doesn’t by itself mean it’s a different app.

The app purchase does not include a proxy service plan

A one-time purchase of the client does not include a proxy service plan. Buying the app grants the right to use it; users must provide their own connection details. This site does not provide, sell or recommend servers or subscriptions.

Confirm what you’re paying for

The App Store payment is for Shadowrocket. Any subscription or server details you already have are separate from the app purchase record. If a subscription has expired, server details have changed or a connection service has ended, check your existing details and service status. Buying the client again won’t fix those issues.

Likewise, having server details doesn’t replace the App Store purchase process. Verify and get the client first, then import your own details. This helps keep purchase, import and connection issues separate. When getting started, check each step in turn rather than changing the storefront region, app configuration and system network settings all at once.

How updates relate to purchase history

App updates are delivered through the App Store. Check the App Store automatic update option in Settings, or look for available updates on the store account page. The account used for an update should match the purchase record. If the system asks for a different account, check the original purchase account rather than treating it as a connection settings issue.

Before reinstalling to troubleshoot a problem, make sure you have a usable record of your subscription URL, server credentials and configuration files. Reinstalling may remove local data and isn’t guaranteed to fix server-side or network issues. If you simply can’t connect, start with the connection troubleshooting guide and check the connection switch, selected details, routing mode and test results in order.

The price shown on this page illustrates the one-time purchase model and doesn’t guarantee future prices. Payments, orders, redownloads and Family Sharing are subject to Apple’s current storefront and account records. The app ID and developer details identify the product; price is only one part of the purchase and cannot replace identity verification.

App Store download and purchase FAQ

First, distinguish storefront availability, purchase eligibility and in-app configuration.

Why can’t I find Shadowrocket on the mainland China App Store?

Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China storefront. App Store listings depend on the country or region of the Apple Account used for Media & Purchases, not just the device’s current location. Check the account’s Country/Region under Media & Purchases in Settings, then confirm whether the product page is available. Any change of region must meet the conditions listed on the account page.

The product page is visible, but the download won’t start. What should I check first?

Note the exact App Store message, then check the account used for Media & Purchases, payment status, available device storage and network connection. Next, review the compatibility section on the product page. Refer to the App Store listing for system requirements. If a purchase is pending, check the order before trying to pay again.

Do I have to pay again when I get a new device or reinstall the app?

Use the Apple Account that made the original purchase. Find Shadowrocket in the App Store account’s purchased items to download it again; you usually won’t need to buy it again. If a price still appears, check the purchase account, purchase history and storefront region. Reinstalling the app does not automatically restore subscriptions, server details or configuration files you already had.

Can I install Shadowrocket on my iPad after buying it for iPhone?

You can use the purchase history for the same Apple Account to get Shadowrocket on both iPhone and iPad. On your iPad, first confirm the purchase account in the App Store, then find the app in your purchased items. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and Universal Purchase availability. Connection details in the app must still be imported or restored separately.

Where can I get Shadowrocket for Mac, Apple TV or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section of the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision. Find the product in the App Store on the relevant device. Check the App Store listing for system requirements, device compatibility and Universal Purchase availability.

How do I follow the guide if the app is in English?

This official manual keeps English interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Config, Global Routing and Settings so you can match them directly. Check the connection status on Home, then use Add Server to import details you already have. The English interface alone doesn’t verify that the app is genuine; check the developer, official icon and app ID.

After verifying the App Store listing, use the quick start tutorial to import details you already have. For more purchase questions, see the App Store Guide.
